Am I becoming *THAT* blogger?

That only links to YouTube videos?

Maybe, but I have a reason. I'm discouraged with the world today. Take this for example:

52 Million times its been viewed. That's more than watched the Presidential debates here in the US.

And its not entertaining. Its just ... dumb. (No offense to the creator).

Sigh.

So you put it on your blog, so even more people will see it?

You're an enabler!

My computer is being stupid and buggy, so I (unfortunately?) was unable to see whatever you posted. I'll come back and check it later, but I just wanted to say, there's nothing wrong with posting youtube videos, even without much description. Okay, correction, CAN be nothing wrong. If you're spam blogging and just trying to get hits so you can make money off ads, or if you aren't properly attributing the work of others to well, others, where appropriate, that's one thing, but there's all sorts of blogs and blog posts in the legitimate (and even fascinating awesome!) range. For example, just like I might follow someone on Mixx because of their "editorial eye" or whatever you want to call it of congregating items I find interesting all in one place, so might a blog be interesting that congregated a bunch of youtube videos from an interesting editorial perspective.

For example, I *hope* my tumblr is interesting to at least some people, and while I do mix in my own original content or videos/etc. accompanied by original content, I like to think that my combination of "scrapbookish" content - stuff linked to or embedded - is done so with a "blog+Katharine+certain of my salient interests" unique editorial perspective that brings a unique appeal, meaning, message, what have you to the blog.

This is really a long way of saying...

If you're intentions are good and not sleazy, don't ever feel ashamed about the youtube video post! :-)
